Sophie's Bakery For The Broken Hearted Book Review

Hey all my lovely readers hope you are all doing great :)

Today's post is a book review. I have only ever written one book review before, and that was for a contest I didn't win, so no promises that this is going to be any good, but I'm going to give it a go :)

Sophie's Bakery For The Broken Hearted is about a woman, named Sophie believe it or not ha-ha, who has recently lost her husband to cancer. The book starts 3 months after he has died, and she has been told to join a grief group, because she isn't coping, she drove her car through her garage door. She feels like life is pointless without her husband. She isn't doing her job well, which she only got because she needed a better paying job, but still doing what she likes, and ends up being fired for going in wearing her bathrobe and bunny slippers. All she does is eat Oreos and ice cream and wants to stay in bed all day. She breaks down in the frozen food section in her supermarket and can't face ever going back there. Her mother-in-law tries to help, but by getting rid of Ethan's stuff, which she can't bear, so keeps them all and gives up her furniture to the goodwill van that comes to pick up Ethan's stuff.

In the end she decides to move, to be closer to her best friend. She joins a new grief group and gets a job as a waitress. The job doesn't go well, she spills food on costumers and sits on their laps, she ends up being demoted to salad girl. This is the break she needed, even though it doesn't seem like it at first. She also joins Big Sisters mentoring group, sorry I can't remember what it is called, where she meets Crystal, a troubled teenager. It is hard work mentoring Crystal, and Sophie thinks of giving up.

Soon things start looking up for Sophie, she even starts seeing someone, but he breaks her heart. A few weeks after he dumps her, he asks for her forgiveness. And you are like will she, she should, even though he dumped her, he made her feel happy, but your going to have to read the book for yourself to find out if she takes him back. She also opens her own bakery, and has an opening party, where she invites the entire town, and you are hoping that everything goes right for her because she deserves it.

So basically this book, is just about grief and learning to deal with loss. It shows that it does take a long time to get over your loss, you'll never completely get over it, but you will learn to deal with it and be able to move on.

The story is so original and unpredictable. I often read a lot of romance based books and they tend to be really predictable, girl meets boy, they have difficulties, the get back together, get married and live happily ever after. But not with this book, you never know what is going to happen, and if Sophie will ever be happy again.

Overall I completely recommend this book. You will fall in love with the characters. I bought my copy from my local library, so I'm not 100% certain it is available to buy any-more. I would suggest looking on Amazon or Ebay. The author is Lolly Winston.

I hope you all enjoyed this review, please feel free to leave comments letting me know what you think and how to improve.

Love you all xoxo <3 xxxx

Outfit Of The Day

Hey my lovely readers, hope you are all doing good, and your feet aren't hurting you. Mine are so painful, but I shouldn't complain, it was my own fault. I went shopping in heals, but only because they were the only shoes I had that would go with what I was wearing and were waterproof, because it was raining when I left. Then it decided to stop for the day whilst I was in town :( typical ha-ha.

So as you can tell from the title, this is an Outfit of the day Blog :) I love OOTD Blog posts, to read and to post. I was going to do this as a video, but I decided on making it this instead and do a haul video.

On to the pictures :)
Top from Primark, Leggings from Primark.
Leaf necklace from New Look, Key/Heart/Flower Necklace from Primark, Bracelet from Diamonds and Pearls.
Eyes, neutral using a brown on the outer corner and in the crease to give definition.
On lips Barry M Lipgloss. Special Edition not available any more.
Boots from some shop in Liverpool, by the Met quarter shopping centre I think.

Sorry this isn't so good, I don't know why but this was the only way I could get the pictures :/ At least the pictures are better quality than my last OOTD post ha-ha.

Hope you all had a good day :) Now gonna massage my poor feet LOL. Let me know what you think of the set up and your overall thoughts on this Blog :)

My Weight-loss Journey

Hey my lovely readers, how are you all? Hope you are all doing good :)

I know that this post is an hour late, but I got distracted, like I do LOL. Anyway, as you can tell by the title, this is my first Weight-loss Blog. I decided to do this because I have been trying to lose weight for almost two years with no results, basically because I haven't been trying. But I am determined to do it this time, because I feel fat and I can't fit into my favourite jeans properly. So I thought that it would be a good idea to write a Blog about it, to encourage me to do it, and not fail, because I have people who know I am doing it, plus I thought, there are lots of people who are trying to lose weight, so why not help them at the same time, well that's if they read this LOL.

So at least once a week, I am going to update you all on how I am doing. I will tell you all the types of food I ate, roughly how much I ate and the times, plus all the exercise I have done that week. There will also be two pictures, one of me in normal clothes, then one in the jeans I want to fit into, so that you can see the progress. I thought of the picture thing, because I read somewhere that some model takes a picture of her body every week, to help her keep in shape, and I liked that idea, but obviously I am not going to take a picture of me in my underwear, mainly because I am posting the pictures, but also because right now my body looks horrible, which I am hoping to fix LOL.

I am going to mention some of the exercises I do every week, and have been doing so for about two or three months, just so I don't have to write them every week. So the first exercise I do every week is swimming, me, my mum and my dad go swimming every Thursday evening, and sometimes on a Sunday, but we haven't done that for a few weeks. I am learning to swim right now, so we aren't swimming the entire time we are there, I practice swimming for about 20-30 minutes them the rest of the time we just have fun. There are obviously one week a month when I don't go swimming, I think you can guess why, so I'm not going to mention it, but on those weeks I will let you all know that I haven't swam. The second and third exercise I do every week is working and walking. I work as a cleaner and if you have ever cleaned a restaurant you will know how much hard work it is. I also have to carry tables and chairs round onto the patio, so that is a work out to LOL. I then walk home, which is about a 40 minute walk, but I can do it in 30 minutes depending on how I am feeling. I do this every Saturday and Sunday morning. Oh I forgot to mention I clean for about 2 hours each day. So that is all the exercises I do every week.

This is my normal picture, as you can my hips are huge, which is the main thing I am going to try and improve. I am also going to improve my tummy, you will see why in the next picture.

So as you can see I have a really bad muffin top, and my jeans don't fasten proper, I fastened them as much as I could. I am hoping to be able to fit into them by September, so fingers crossed girlies.

At the end of every post I am going to put my weight, B.M.I, how much weight I have left to lose and how much weight I have lost, even though you can probably work it out yourself, I just want to have it written down. So here is my starting weight and B.M.I.
Weight: 9st 2lb
B.M.I.: 23.49
How much weight left to lose: 1st 2lb

I hope you enjoyed this post. I will talk to you all soon, Love you all xoxo <3 xxxx

My Journey Essentials

Hello all my lovely readers, so sorry it has been so long since I last posted a Blog, like I said in my last post, I never really know what to write, but that is changing as of now. I have decided to write a post at least once a week. However, if you ever need an update on me sooner, there will always be a new video uploaded everyday on my YouTube channel, and Status updates on Twitter. The links are here and here, so go check them out :)

Anyway on to today's post. As you can tell from the title, it is about my Journey essentials. I don't travel very often and I don't go abroad, I always stay in the U.K. But I am guessing what I take with me when I travel, for the journey, would be suitable for Carry on's but I'm not 100% sure, so don't hold that against me.

So the first thing I always take into the back of the car with me, is a book. The one I am reading right now, well actually the two books I'm reading right now LOL, are Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows, for like the 5th time LOL, by J.K. Rowling and Sophie's Bakery for the Broken Hearted by Lolly Winston. I always take a book because, as you all know I am a big reader and when your in a car for a few hours you can get kinda bored so I always like to make sure I have something to read and I also take my Nintendo DS just incase I feel like playing a game.

Ok so I also bring with me a blanket, the one in the picture is my Tinkerbell, I love Tinkerbell, I only have 2 fleece blankets and my other one is a Playboy one but I keep that one on my chair just to make it prettier, so my Tinkerbell one is always the one I reach for when I want a blanket LOL. I take my blanket with me because I tend to get cold really easily, even in summer, so always need something like a blanket with me :)

I also bring my MP4 player, I don't own any Apple products, although I do want an Ipod nano. Anyways I just have a normal MP4 player from Philips I got a couple of Christmases ago, I really like it :) So I bring this because I like to listen to music, and no-one in my family really like the same music as me, so I listen to my own, whilst they listen to the radio, or whatever music they wanna listen to.

The final things I take with me are food and a litre bottle of water. I drink a lot of water so I always make sure I have a drink with me. I take food with me incase I get hungry. I don't really like to buy food from the service stations because they tend to be expensive so I always bring my own. Its normally just things like a packet of crisps or a tube of Pringles, some chocolate, cake and sandwiches and maybe some fruit, like a good girl ha-ha, nothing special, but I like food so I bring some LOL.

All of my other travel essentials, I.E. My clothes and laptop go into the boot of the car, because I don't need them sitting with me. I also take obvious things like my bag and my money into the back of the car with me so that when we get out I can just put everything in my bag and carry that, simple LOL.

So that was my Journey Essentials, feel free to write a Blog about this and leave me a link, I would love to know what everyone needs when on a Journey :).

Love you all xoxo <3 xxxx
