Nails of the week

Hey there girlies,

Here is my nails of the week.

This week I am wearing New York by Nails Inc. It was from their Diet Coke range so unfortunately is unavailable now *sad face*

I chose to wear a hot pink colour this week, even though it is more of a summer colour, because tomorrow is Halloween and I have decided to dress up as Barbie for school. I chose Barbie because it is appropriate for school time, otherwise I would've gone for something a bit more like my Dementor costume.
You will see the outfit tomorrow and I am really excited for it!

Talk to you all tomorrow

Study series #2: My biggest tips

So girlies I planned on doing this as my study area but I'm in the middle of organising it at the moment so I don't feel like I should do it. It will be ready for next weeks study post, so look out for it.
Anyway today's post is my two biggest tips when studying.

Tip number 1:
Find a place where you don't get distracted but you feel comfortable. For me I work better on the floor when I'm not using my computer but I always work at my desk when typing. Some of you might find it better sitting on your bed, but I don't recommend that because it can be hard to concentrate on your bed. Another thing about working on your bed is that it might either make you want to sleep, or stop you from sleeping when you're not working. I try and have an area for work and an area for pleasure because for me that is the best way to get me to work effectively and it also helps to differentiate between work and pleasure, stopping me from getting distracted.
You might even find that you work better out of the house and at the library. I love working in the library and do feel like I get more work done there.
It is entirely up to you where you study but just think of a place where you won't get distracted. Never forget that you do need to be comfortable otherwise you won't be able to concentrate.

Tip number 2:
Pray before starting any homework. This one is obviously optional depending on whether or not you are Religious. I obviously am, hence why this is one of my biggest tips. I feel that praying for motivation and patience before starting any work helps me a lot because I feel God is with me, helping me to keep working, and without Him I couldn't do it all. I'm not going to force any of you to start praying, but I really do suggest it. Even if you aren't religious, give it ago and trust me you will feel brilliant and really work hard.

I really hope these tips work for you. As always let me know your tips so I can get better at studying. Also if you do try either of these out, let me know if they work for you.

Talk to you all tomorrow with my Nails of the week.

Tag: What's your fragrance?

Hey girlies,
So I have literally just read this tag on ElleandBlair.com and thought that it would be a fun post to do, simply because I love fragrance.
Onto the questions:
1.Fruity, Floral, Warm, Spicy or Food smell?
Fruity/floral in the summer and Warm/spicy in the winter

2. Body spray or perfume?
Perfume because it lasts longer. Although sometimes I find perfumes can smell chemically so maybe I choose Body spray

3.  What's your all time favourite perfume?
Far Away by Avon. I feel like it is perfect for both winter and summer because it isn't too spicy or fruity.

4. What's your all time favourite body spray?
I think it's called Kissed by Avon unfortunately though you can't buy it any more, but I do love the Vanilla scented body spray by Boots, it is so yummy.

5. What fragrance are you wearing right now?
The Vanilla scented body spray from Boots. I normally wear both perfume and body spray but today I felt more natural so just put on some body spray.

Well that is it for this post. If you have done this tag leave the link in the comment below, because I would love to read it. If you haven't I tag you to do it because it is so much fun!

Hope you enjoyed this post and I will talk to you all soon

Nails of the week

Hey my gorgeous girlies!

Here is my nails of the week for you all! I think I have posted this colour before but I love it and it is what I am wearing this week so I'm doing it again!

I took a picture of my nails with the flash on and off, not sure that either are that good, but I feel like you can get  the right colour from the picture of the bottle.

The colour is Beatrice by Andrea Fulerton nail boutique which is exclusive to Superdrug.

I love this brand, about as much as I love Barry M or Avon. The texture is really good and it lasts a while without chipping, which is good if you only change your nail polish once a week.

I highly recommend this brand and colour! I feel that the colour is perfect for Autumn/winter and for Halloween (although I'm painting my nails black for my costume) The brand is really cheap, costing only £4.99 and you can buy it here.

Let me know what you think!

Study series #1: Outfit #1

Hey girlies so this weekend I have planned on doing as much school work as possible so I don't have to worry about it over the week. I want to have everything done before going back to school after half term, but I do want to relax and have some fun as well, hence why I am hoping to get all of my work done today and tomorrow. Although, just to contradict that, I do plan on filming for my media coursework and spending an hour a day on my English Literature coursework. But the rest of it will be completed tomorrow.
Anyway onto today's post, which is what I wore today.

Obviously it isn't all that exciting because I wasn't going anywhere but this is what I wore:
Top: just a plain white vest top from Asda George which cost about £4
Bottoms: Just some plain navy sweat pants from Primark and cost about £8-ish, I've had them a while so I don't remember.
I left my hair down today but normally I would have it in a bun or in a top knot just to keep it out of my face.
On my feet I actually didn't wear anything but I do normally wear my fuzzy socks just to keep my feet warm.

This outfit is just a really comfortable outfit to wear whilst studying, there is no 'faffing' about just really simple and easy to wear.

Just thought I would share where I ended up studying, because I took a break to eat my lunch so I sat on the floor then was too lazy to move again ha-ha. I am actually planning a study series so I will go into more detail about my study habits then. But that is just a sense of where I studied today.
Just realized that this could be the beginning of that series! Ah great plan Kim!

Anyway I am off for a nice relaxing bath after a hard day of studying and I will talk to you all tomorrow.

How to survive early mornings

Hey girlies how are we all?
I wasn't sure whether or not to post this today or not but I decided that I would because I miss blogging. Plus I may be procrastinating but shh.
So as you can tell this is about how to survive early mornings. This is especially good if you, unlike me, are not a morning person. I know it is nearing the end of October and you all have your own morning routines sorted but in my opinion you can always improve things. I am always looking for tips on how to improve something I already do.
So onto my tips:

First of all I suggest getting up at the same time every day that way your body can adjust to getting up early. By getting up at the same time every day you get used to it and you aren't as tired when you get up, although I know that sometimes you just can't wake up. Try getting up at this time 7 days a week, or if that is too daunting I suggest still setting an alarm for weekends so you are still getting up at a certain time. Your body will appreciate it.

Following on from time, I would also suggest going to bed at the same time every night as well, but I know that isn't always possible. I know that for me I go to bed at a different time every night, just depending on how I feel, but I do try and stick to a rough time, say between 10 and 1 works for me, but it is entirely your choice the time you go to bed. Obviously I wouldn't stay up too late, because you do need to make sure you are getting enough sleep, because if you don't it is not only bad for your health, it is bad for your skin and can make you grumpy and no-body wants to speak to a grumpy person.

If you want to sleep that little bit longer I suggest doing these two things:

  1. Shower at night. If you are like me and take 20 minutes in the shower then another 20 minutes moisturising and getting dressed then showering at night will save you so much time in the morning. Even if you only take about 10 minutes to get showered and dressed, it is still that extra 10 minutes sleep which is always good, especially if you are staying up late doing essays for school.
  2. Get everything organised before going to bed. That means if you take your lunch to school, make it the night before. Choose your outfit and lay it out ready to put on when you get up. Make sure your bag is organised and has everything you need for the next day in it. If you change your make-up on a daily basis, decide before going to sleep.
That leads me onto my final point, keep make-up simple to save time putting it on in the morning. Save the extravagant make-up looks for when you have more time to get ready, i.e. weekends. This will, again, mean you can sleep that little bit longer. You don't even have to wear make-up to school, but I know it might seem like an unthinkable option to some of you, which is why I said simple make-up.

Over all I think the best way to survive early mornings is to do everything you can the night before. Honestly it saves so much time.
If you are a night owl, and you follow these tips you will soon become an early riser. As your body gets used to waking up early, you start to feel more alert first thing in the morning. And soon you won't have to rely on that morning coffee to give you a kick start because your body is already awake.

I hope that this post was helpful. Leave me your tips on how you survive early mornings in the comments below, I love getting new tips and improving everything I do.

Talk to you all soon!

Oh My Gosh Guys I have a new laptop! :D I am so excited to have my own laptop again.

It feels like so long ago since I last updated this blog but I have so many ideas. Before my old laptop broke I had an idea to do a back to school series but obviously I won't be doing that, however I do have a bunch of ideas that I am going to do. And they are:

  • Tips on being healthy/ health series
  • Outfit of the day series
  • What I bought series
  • Organisation series
  • Motivation tips/ 'My Motivational wall'
  • In's and Out's
  • Skin Care routine
  • How to survive early mornings
  • Winter essentials series
  • October favourites
  • Nail of the week series
As you can see I have a few series which means I will be able to do my 'blog post' schedule again of at least 3 posts a week.
If there are any posts which you would like please feel free to leave them in the comments below.
I am really excited to start writing again, I really have missed it so much.

Talk to you all soon!
